I have this page where I use text wrap around the photo. However, now when I want to add a text description under the picture I get completely lost. The new text book behaves strangely and obviously I am doing something wrong. Is it possible to wrap one text (the long text) around both a photo and a smaller text box?

Is it possible to wrap one text (the long text) around both a photo and a smaller text box?

Yes, there are options. You may:

Group the image and caption text frame and apply text wrap to both.

or

Use the outset fields in the Text Wrap panel to extend the the outset of the image frame's text wrap far enough to clear the caption text frame.

In either case you'll have to also select the caption text frame, choose Object > Text Frame Options and set the frame to Ignore Text Wrap.
