"The network connection was lost for the file..." Indesign 2019 on Windows 10 (several times a day)
Hey everyone.
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 (about time I know). As soon as I upgraded, I started getting this error "The network connection was lost for the file ...., or the file was modified by another process". It then pops up a crash report which I send to Adobe each time (3-5 times a day) and it closes the program. The recovery almost always works and I've only ever lost small amounts of work that I did right before the crash. Here's some more info:
- My file is saved on a network drive
- I don't lose network connection when the error pops up (I run other programs with files on the same server and I have physically watched the network drives to see if they lose connection for a split second)
- I have reset my computer and reinstalled windows 10 (keeping only personal files)
- This required me to download the latest version of Indesign again as well
- I have deleted my personal settings from Indesign by holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift right after I open Indesign and selecting delete my personal preferences
This has been happening for a little over a month now and it's just getting annoying. I have read most of the topics on here dealing with the network connection lost but haven't been able to fix my problem. The problem didn't exist until I updated to Windows 10. I never saw this problem with Windows 7.
