The problem comes up again and again, the search is limited to “Documents” and “All Documents”?

Even if your cursor is in an article, there is no “Article”, no “Selection Options”.

You create another new document with the same problem.

Do you work locally or remotely?

Where is stored your system user profile?

Thank you for sharing the details. To help resolve this issue, could you please provide the following information:

1. The version of InDesign you're using, and
2. The details of the operating system (OS).

Additionally, just to confirm, are you referring to the "Story" option missing in the Find/Change dialog box? Please let me know if that’s the case.
