Question

The sequence of unthreaded frames on a page (document)

I have the impression that InDesign arranges unthreaded text frames in order from oldest to newest. This is evident both within the page and the document, as seen during text searches.

Is there any way to enforce a specific order of frames?

For what purpose? If it's reading order you can try the articles panel.

The specificity of infographics I am working on, causes there to be dozens text frames on the page. Even a simple search for a text fragment to be changed makes InDesign jump throughout the entire document, finding the desired fragments. It is cumbersome, and I would prefer to have some logic in this.

Yes, creation order is then search order.

Can you show us what exactly are you doing? Maybe there is another way - or if you are working on a PC - you could use my tool.
