Thick lines in illustrator placed file when exporting to interactive pdf

Hi friends,

Same as the title. I have some maps that look great in Illustrator. Thin lines and everything is as it appears.

I place the illustrator file into indesign and in preview mode everything looks great, the thin lines are there and as they appear.

When i export indesign to interactive pdf 144dpi, the lines suddenly get fat. Its like all the strokes default to a minimum of 1.5 pixes wide. It looks terrible and not at all as intended.

Has anyone run across this? A web search did not yeild results. Thanks,.

What JPEG QUality did you choose to go along with your 144 ppi Resolution? If you haven't done so already try setting the JPEG Quality to Maximum and see if the problem persists.

You may be viewing your pdf in Acrobat or Reader and the page display preference to "enhance thin lines" is on.

It's also possible there is a flattening issue, does this also occur when you export to PDF/X-4 (no flattening)?

Can you upload a sample pdf showing the issue?
