I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 about six months ago and upgraded the graphics card. All hardware and software show compatible. Always on current version of CC since the upgrade. All has been working fine: ID, Premiere Pro, Photophop, Audition, etc.
I recently went to edit an ID file from a few years ago. When i got done and went to copy things I got a bad font formatting on-screen and a warning across the bottom of the screen in a blue bar:
"This document contains Type 1 fonts which are no longer supported. Please replace using Type>Find/Replace Font"
There is nothing I can find that is Type 1. But since I need the file and to work with it in the future with various changes, I rebuilt it entirely from scratch so there was no chance of old fonts. I only selected fonts it gave me as choices. I drew text frames new, and pasted text I copied from the old file into a Notepad file to strip all formatting and copied and pasted that into the new document.
When I got done, after four hours, and went to copy the work to a new page, the warning came back!
I don't see any errors in on-screen formatting or Export to PDF this time but this is very concerning.
The only two font families in this new file are (showing in Find/Replace Font dialog):
Helvetica Nueve LT Str
Myriad Pro
Here's the file.
CORRECTION: Sorry, I was mistaken. I now remember that since I am on an older i7 machine and got lucky six months ago with a graphics card that works with the machine and also works with the then-current versions of all the CC apps, I disabled automatic updates and haven't updated CC or the apps since. Maybe that's the issue?? I can do an image of the machine and try to update everything and hope it's still okay with the graphics card. Should I try that? All is working flawlessly except for this font issue in ID, which, as I said, with the older file caused on-screen display corruption of some type, but the new file only gives me the warning but seems to be displaying, exporting to PDF, and printing okay so far.
Thanks so much!
Jay
