This file is already open by another user or application

Question

Hi Can anyone help me.I have been using indesign with a networked drive from Microsoft 365 Sharepoint azure server I have recently upgraded my PC to a new one and now when I want to place files from the drive into sharepoint i get the following error message 'This file is already open by another user or application. This file may be stored on a network server and cannot be opened until the other user closes it.'I still have the old PC and I've plugged this back in and the files open as normal on there, I've completely uninstalled Indesign and adobe and signed myself out from Office 365 on the old PC and still no luck.I can't open the images either I get 'Can't open this photo or video. File may be unsupported, damaged or corrupted' error on them.However when I go into sharepoint through the internet I can access the files and and view them all, I am the only person with access to these files so I am the only person who could have opened them I've tried everything can anyone help?

Thank you for your help in answering me I have now managed after a lot of research to find the solution (for Windows 10).

error 0x800700DF: this is down to you exceeding the default limit of 50000000 bytes (47.68… Mb). In order to avoid this issue you have to manually increase the size in the Windows registry to the maximum allowed. Below are some simple steps you can follow to set the limit to 4gb:

Open Registry Editor in Windows 10.

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type regedit.

2. Select the top result, regedit Run command.

Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters

Right click on the FileSizeLimitInBytes and click “Modify“.
Click on Decimal, and type 4294967295; then click “Ok” to save. We are using one byte less as 4294967296 exceeds the 32bit size of the field by 1 (remember 0 counts). If you prefer you can type 0xffffffff for the hexadecimal value.
Restart the “Web Client service” using Services
Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard.
Type services.msc then press Enter.
Locate WebClient on the list of services.
Click on the said service and select Restart the service on the right hand side.
