Tools similar to Doc flow

Is there any plugin or extension that can connect  doc files that have 100s of pages to InDesign, including photos? I have heard about the Drivesync, but never used it.

DriveSync connects Google Docs and Sheets — and Word/Excel files — to InDesign frames, and on each sync updates only the text. Paragraph and character styles, local overrides and spacing survive; tables stay real InDesign tables and keep column widths you've adjusted by hand; images are placed once and aren't reflowed by later text edits. Built for exactly the long-document case you describe.

InDesign 2026 only at the moment. 14-day trial.

It's new, so I'd genuinely welcome feedback — especially on long documents, which is the case I most want to get right.

    (Disclosure: I built it.)

I’m in full agreement with @Dave Creamer of IDEAS. If you’re not asking for something to manage Word or Google Doc files, please give us some additional information.

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but if you want to connect Word files to InDesign so edits in InDesign reflect any edits in the Word document file, check out WordsFlow from Em Software.

(They have an option for Google Docs too.)
