Trackpad Zoom not working on InDesign 15.0.1 on macOS Catalina

InDesign - 15.0.1 // OS Catalina 10.15.2

 

When using InDesign my ability to zoom in and out by pinching my trackpad no longer works. 

 

If I follow these steps: InDesign > Preferences > Interface > Uncheck and Recheck "Enable Multi-touch Gestures" it works for a period of time before the error occurs again. This is a bandaid fix, and it's hindering my work flow if I have to keep going back into the settings. 

 

Found similar issues occuring in Jan 2019. Let me know what you think! Or if other people are experiencing this!

    Thanks for reaching out. Barb is absolutely correct. Please try resetting the preferences. You may follow steps on help article

    https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/setting-preferences.html 

     

    Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

    If that doesn't help, login to root account (https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204012). Check how application works there. If it works fine there, then it could be related to permission errors.

    Same system (InDesign 15.0.1; OS Catalina 10.15.2), but no, not experiencing it. Do the gestures work in other apps, i.e., your browser? If so, you might consider rebuilding InDesign's cache/preferences:
