Trigger an action based on keyword entry

Hello,

I'm trying to create an interactive document using Indesign, I've tried to do it using Acrobat but there are limitations with Javascript when viewed on mobile so the interactive bit doesn't work, and viewing on mobile is a must for this project.

Is it possible to create a text based entry field or dropdown box in InDesign and trigger an action like show a  text. For example, if I type 'fruit' in a text box or select 'fruit' in a dropdown, can I set this to show another text i.e. 'apple' on another box?

I'm thinking if I can't achieve the above with an Interactive PDF then HTML via Indesign might be the answer

TIA

TIA

You cannot have the filetype be PDF and make a lot of interactive elements. They *might* work on a desktop Acrobat Pro, but anything more than a simple hyperlink will fail in a smartphone. Consider trying epub or Publish Online?
