Trouble with Arabic language

So I've followed all the steps to change my version of InDesign to English - Arabic  enabled, changed it over to the world ready paragraph composer, and it still won't recognize Arabic. I can't write in Arabic, so I am copy and pasting in from Word, and when I do, all of the characters are just squares. Any advice would be helpful.

Squares instead of characters means no Arabic font was used. Make sure to use something like Arial, Adobe Arabic, or any similar fonts with Arabic glyphs. Here is a recent discussion with similar issue.
