I have tried to export and indesign file to adobe acrobat interactive pdf and everytime I have tried indesign sends a warning saying 'Unable to view this file because acrobat was not found.Check your acrobat installation.' I have also uninstalled adobe acrobat and reinstalled it and tried again and it still does not work.

Can you open Acrobat at all, bypassing InDesign?

If so, what happens if you use the Acrobat Open menu?

It might be as simple as not having the program assigned correctly to the file extension. It can happen duing upgrades.

That is an operating system issue that you'll need to fix.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
