Type 1 and Type 3 fonts

Does the removal of Type 1 font support also include Type 3 fonts?  Can they continue to be used in Adobe creative products?

Type 3 fonts can't be used at all and (I think) never could. Except inside PDF files, where they do a special job. Both type 1 and type 3 fonts are still fine in PDF files.

 

If you have a case where you seem to be able to use type 3 fonts with an Adobe products, please share the details so we can look into it.

We received a PDF file this week with Type 3 fonts in it and the PDF was created with InDesign 2023. I thought it was very odd.
