Question

Unable to change permissions/read only privileges

I have just installed CC on a new Mac running OS X 10.10.5. Download of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign all apparently went ok. Illustrator & Photoshop both open and run fine, but Indesign won't open, instead it says:

Error: Unable to launch Adobe InDesign as you do not have sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders. Ensure that you have appropriate permissions and then restart Adobe InDesign.

The thing is, I can't seem to change the permissions/privileges. They are greyed-out and locked on all relevant folders. My user profile doesn't even appear in the privileges, although it does say "everyone" is read-only (and I can't change this). Illustrator and Photoshop privileges are able to be changed, but not Indesign. I am admin on my computer and logged in as myself.

I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice.

Ugh. This is sooo boring adobe. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.
