Unable to copy/paste Share for Review comments after updating to INDD 21.1

I can no longer Copy any comments in Review window (Share for Review). I should be able to copy the text from the comment directly into the window. But this function is disabled in this version of InDesign. Now I have to manually type text. It was a problem last years resolved by a new version, but in 21.1 InDesign, this problem still appen. What's going on Adobe !?

After verification, I confirm that it works for me too. I can indeed copy the text of the comment. Before, there was a popup called "COPY" that disappeared, which misled me.

 

My problem is therefore solved.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you're running into. Adding to what Anubhav and the community experts shared, I tested the Share for Review comments on InDesign 19.5.5, 20.5.1, and 21.0.1 on my end and I see the same behavior across all of them, meaning there is no separate Copy option in the comments panel or the web view. That said, I am able to select the comment text with my mouse and copy it normally, and it works as expected for me.

Could you please confirm which exact copy action is not working for you? Are you trying to select and copy the text inside a comment, or something else? Please try selecting the text directly with your mouse and copying it, and let me know what you observe.

    Until the problem is resolved, you can take a screenshot and then use an image-to-text tool so that at least you don't have to retype text. There are plenty of such tools (on Mac you can use Preview).
