Unable to insert second cover photo in my epub

Question

Trying to insert a second cover photo (in this case, the back cover photo) into my InDesign epub. It looks right in InDesign, but when I view it in the Kindle Previewer, it has been cropped and place at the top of the title page. (see attachments)

Anybody know a fix for this?

Not an ePub guy but here's my understanding of it

EPUB only supports one official cover image (usually the front).

For your back cover, try this:

Place the back cover image on a new last page in InDesign

Select the image and go to Object > Object Export Options

Under EPUB & HTML, set Size to “Fixed Size” and Alignment to “Centred”

Don’t mark this image as a “cover” in your export settings
