Unable to open InDesign & Illustrator from file explorer

Hi,

Since Adobe Indesign 2024, I can't launch Indesign by opening a file from explorer file. (It doesn't work with Illustrator neither). I have to open Adobe Indesign, "open" and search the file, which is really annoying.

Do you have a solution ?

Sounds like you use Windows, though you don't mention a version.

You should be able to re-establish the file associations either by right-clicking the file, choose Open With and browse for the application (and check the box to Always Use this application), or by opeing Control Panel, choosing Default Applications, then Choose default apps by file type...
