unable to open taskbar apps

When I have INDD open I cannot open other background windows apps from the taskbar, I have to minimise the INDD window to open them

Yes, this is a known annoyance. You have to minimize InDesign to get control back. PITA but I've learned to live with it. That said, I updated to 22H2 the other day and it does seem to be better behaved so I suspect this is Windows issue as much as an InDesign issue.

Yes , This is happening all the time it started when I updated INDD 2022 in my windows 11 pc

Once I have opened /closed apps the problem goes away until the next time I open INDD also the problem can happen with other cc apps

Weird. Adobe says the apps support Windows 11. I don't have a Windows 11 PC to test on at this moment, but I wonder if it could be a display driver issue? Consider contacting Adobe tech support to see if they can troubleshoot with your computer.
