Unable to Package the Document | ID CC 2018

I am receiving an error "Unable to package the document. InDesign cannot access 'file name'" when I attempt to package any file. If I'm currently working in said folder, how can InDesign not be able to access it? My workaround is to save the file to my desktop, then I am able to package as usual. I have resorted to creating a separate folder on my desktop to store these files, then copying the packaged folders back to our server at work. The it's extra steps that are unnecessary and can get messy and confusing. The recent update (March 2018) did not resolve this issue as some suggested. Anyone else experiencing this?
