Hello- I have both Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. I have a font called Philosopher that I purchased and is available in InDesign but I cannot find the font file anywhere and I want to add it to Creative Cloud so that I can use it in Illustrator as well. Any tips. Thank you!

Hello @Ann39028196mnc1,

It sounds like you're having trouble locating your purchased font file.

We have the Philosopher font available on Adobe Fonts. Please try activating the font from there. Once activated, it should automatically be visible in all Adobe applications.

Additionally, obtaining the Philosopher font from a third-party source might conflict with the Creative Cloud Desktop App. If you want to upload your font file to the Creative Cloud Desktop App, please take a look at this article: How to upload your fonts to your Creative Cloud apps.

If you're unable to find the downloaded and installed font on your system, you can try looking in the following locations:

  • C:\Windows\Fonts (for Windows)
  • ~/Library/Fonts/ (for macOS)
  • or your Downloads folder: C:\Users\username\Downloads

Please let us know if this helps resolve your issue. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

What platform, OS and InDesign versions?

You need to copy / install your font in the system.
