Unable to set up Numbering for a paragraph style

Hello

So I wish to set up an Appendix numbering. I have done this before for other styles. However, im hitting a brick wall with this one.

The foll are my settings. I am unable to get the numbers (in this case - characters A, B,C) to follow each other. Can you please guide me where im going wrong here.

    It’s your Mode setting. Change it from Start At 1 to Continue from Previous. If you want to restart numbering, perhaps in different chapters, then you can either right-click on a paragraph to make it resort numbering or set up a separate style for First Appendix.

    Thanks Scott. But the problem is if I have 'Continue from Previous Numbering' enabled, the Appendix numbering follows from the previous style, which I do not desire.

    ah.. so I think I had to create a new list style corresponding to this new appendix numbering style.
