Unable to Type or Select Text in InDesign 20.5 After Update

I am unable to type any characters in InDesign after the update.

    Having the same issue on MacOS Sequoia running on M1 MacbookPro. This makes it completely impossible to style text within a frame.

    And does the problem go away if you revert to InDesign 20.4.x (CC app > InDesign > Other Versions menu)?

    In the video, you will see that I am trying to simply select the text, and nothing happens, or it is delayed.

    Thanks so much for sharing the video. I can see how frustrating that delay must be.

    To help narrow this down, could you confirm your Windows version and whether this issue happens across all documents or just specific ones? Also, let me know if you're using any third-party plugins, software or input devices that might be running in the background.
