Undo/Redo stopped working on InDesign 15.0 on macOS Mojave 10.14.1

I just updated to the in new Creative Cloud programs and now I'm getting this glitch all the time that I can no longer undo anything. Rebooting my Mac is only a temporary fix that I cannot continually do when I'm working on my projects.

Can anyone help? It just started once I updated to InDesign 15.0 and it's only in InDesign that I have this issue, no matter if it's a new document or older one.

 

Mac Mojave: 10.14.1 (18B75)

Processor: 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5

Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M380 2048 MB

    Hi there,

     

    Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with InDesign. Could you please try resetting the preferences for InDesign by following the steps below:

     

    • Close all Adobe applications 
    • Go to Locations:  
    • ~/Library/Caches 
    • ~/Library/Preferences 
    • Rename Adobe InDesign and com.adobe.indesign to Adobe InDesign.old and com.adobe.indesign.old 
    • Launch InDesign from the CC 

    Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and InDesign will recreate new folders with default settings.

    Will I lose even my workspace layout if I go this route? I'd hate to have to spend the time to set those back up again.

    Moving from Get Started to InDesign forum.

    • Does undo work in other apps?
    • Are you invoking undo from keyboard shortcuts or the toolbar?

    Yes, undo works in other apps. I've tried both, the keyboard short cuts do not work, yes they are set up correctly. Undo is grayed out with accessing through the toolbar at the top.
