Unexpected Lines Appearing on Exported PNG Image in InDesign

Hi Adobe Community!

I've finsihed creating a document consisting of multiple pages and exported all of them in PNG format

(72ppi, Maximum Quality) and I noticed that on one very specific page lines appeared below specific images...

I have no clue what is causing this and I've tried exporting the page multipe times but nothing changes.
Any Idea how I could resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

How is this page composed? Are those three separate images? Are the shadows part of the images, or an ID effect? I know there's a bug when things like a shadow effect occur too close to an image boundary; the solution is — IIRC — to enlarge the graphics frame holding the image so that there is interior margin.

They're PNG's with alpha, that shadow is part of the image, not an added effect.

Use PDF/X-4 instead PNG.

Hello @Quentin24613715oiw6,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you let us know if this issue with lines on exported PNGs is specific to one file? If so, could you package that file and share the folder, highlighting the specific page where this occurs? We’ll investigate!

Best,

It seems to be specific to this one file and to the  PNG images in the file that have transparancy.
I managed to fix the issue by just trying to export it over and over again without alt+tabbing and eventualy it worked. I stumbled upon this older post with exactly the same issue and there they mentioned this as well.

Unfortunately the file is a bit confidential so I can't share it with you on here...
