Unwanted Black Border around pages - I am not finding a resolution.

I have this black border around each page, and it prints out. I NEED IT TO GO AWAY.

I've tried several options, including reducing stroke to 0. Suggestions VERY welcome.

Update: there's definitely an inadvertent border style at play here. I've got it down to one affected page, and will probably just delete that one and rebuild it because I can't for the life of me find the setting that's affecting it.

It looks for all the world as if there's simply a black stroke applied to the frames containing your page backgrounds. This might be set as a default for new frames, or perhaps as part of an object style applied to those frames.

When the frame is selected, you should see the [None] swatch applied to stroke (and probably the fill as well), and the stroke weight should be set to 0.

If it's not set this way, check the object style, and also, with no objects selected, make sure stroke is set to 0 and stroke color is set to [None] to reset the default for the document.

You should also check for this and reset with no files open to prevent it happening in new files.

It DOES look for all the world like that's the problem. I went through object by object, layer by layer, and found 1 more object that had a stroke around it. I'll check the presets - thanks~

Maybe you have inadvertently set up a border style. Try resetting the InDesign Preferences back to the factory defaults – you can find it under the General tab (then close and reopen the application).

I have no idea what we're even looking at. Can you post a screenshot of the full layout or even better, post the file.

I think we're going to need to see the file.
