Question

Unwanted colour changes when one image superimposed over another (InDesign)

I have images comprised of colour-filled objects.  Sometimes, in InDesign, these colour-filled objects need to lie on top of another (white) image.  When the colour-filled objects are superimposed over this 'white' image, the colour filling the objects changes.  How can I keep the colour-filled objects with their intended colour (i.e. unaltered by the image underneath)?

Are using any 'effects', blending or transparency? If so, you will see the CMYK rendering if your Document Blending Space is set to CMYK. What happens if you change it to RGB? Remember: for print it will use the CMYK in the end of course...

First, let us know: (1) Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. (2) Please tell us (exactly) what InDesign version you're using.

Next, what kind of images are these (vector or pixel)? What file format?
