Update to Indesign CC version 13

Trying to update to Indesign CC version 13 to open a file from my boss. However, my CC only updates to version 12 and doesnt give the option for 13

What operating system are you using? On a Mac InDesign 13 can only be installed on operating systems El Capitan and above. If you have an up to date OS then try signing out of Creative Cloud and then signing back in again and see if the options appear. If you are able to install make sure that "Import previous settings and preferences" is not checked in the advanced options that will be offered during the install (this option has led to a lot of performance issues).

CC2018 requires OSX 10.11 at a minimum.

If you have that check the CC Desktop App for InDesign CC. It’s no longer labeled by year.

Thank you! I just updated my computer and it gave me the new option for InDesign 13.

I have the same issue, using PC. The answers provided only apply to Mac. I tried uninstalling and re-installing InDesign, but it continues to be remain version 12.1.0 and I am unable to open documents my co-workers created using version 13. Thoughts?

Hm. What is your OS version?

Log out of the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App.

Restart your computer.

Log in to the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App with your Adobe ID.

Now ACC Desktop App should scan the application folder and—hopefully—will offer a new InDesign CC installation.

It is not labeled 2018 in ACC Desktop App.
