URGENT! InDesign won't let me Undo and Save

I'm sorry to hear you ran into this issue, and thank you for reporting it.

I just wanted to follow up and check whether you had a chance to try the suggestions shared by the experts, particularly updating InDesign to the latest version and resetting the InDesign preferences and caches. Did either of those help?

If the issue is still occurring, could you please let us know the exact InDesign version and macOS version you're using? Also, please confirm whether this issue is specific to one document or if it also occurs with all documents, including a brand-new one.

Additionally, are you running macOS 27 Golden Gate Public Beta 2? If so, could you please let us know whether the issue occurs only on this beta build, or if you also experienced it on an earlier macOS version?

If you're using macOS, please also make sure InDesign has Full Disk Access under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access, then test the behavior again.

Finally, if possible, could you share a screen recording showing the complete workflow until Undo and Save become disabled?

This was an issue in an older version. Make sure you’re fully patched.
