User Interface Scaling Causes Crash in Indesign 2024

I just updated to the new version of Indesign. The UI appears larger what I had previously, so I tried to scale it down, but upon restart it just crashes right away and refuses to open. Have to uninstall and re-install to get it back. Any workaround for this? Tried it 4 times already, same results.

Hi @dwjensen ,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. If it's crashing right after launch, please update the macOS to Ventura 13.6 which is the latest version of macOS Ventura, as this was reported by other users and the issue was resolved after updating the OS. Please update that and let us know how it goes.

Note: Please ensure that you're updating to macOS 13.6 Ventura and not the latest OS Sonoma, as we're currently in the process of testing and optimizing our latest apps to run on macOS 14 Sonoma.

Thanks

You don't say which platform and OS. There are some known issues with the latest MacOS version (Sonoma), and some other glitches that need specific workarounds.

(I will say that when 2024 opened the first time for me, unexpectedly since I didn't know it had updated, it looked like a Fisher-Price toy version on my widescreen display. I couldn't rush to scale it back down fast enough. 🙂 )

I'm on Mac OS 13.1, if that helps anyone.
