Using LaTeX math formules in Indesign and use Mathmagic less as possible

Hi everyone,

I'm working in a school book editor and I'm looking for an alternative to MathMagic. For math and science books, Mm sloooooooooows down Indesign and my colleagues are facing of some problems with it.

I start to develop a mixed font with Fontforge in using MM fonts to limit some problems but what I'm really looking for is to use MM minimum as possible. Actually, it works for symbols and simple formules.

In FontForge, I see we can set some LaTeX values so maybe I can find a way…?

I know that it's a complicated question, but maybe someone has been confronted to this one day?(I know, i'm optimist haha)
