Question

Using Print Booklet without print drivers

Here goes:

I need the ability to paginate using Print Booklet, but the printer options don’t allow me to use the proper size paper. This isn’t a problem on my work machine because it has the drivers for the digital press installed.

I’ve tried to add the drivers to my laptop to no avail. Is there a workaround for this?

I'm attempting to install using the driver install package. export to PDF doesnt show as an option

Hi @centralmaphotog , if you install the Acrobat 9 PPD you can set any custom page size. Download is here:

More details here:

Imposition is the printer's responsibility, not yours. If this is for in-house use, export a proper PDF and print the booklet from Acrobat using its booklet printing feature.

OS?

How are you trying to add the drivers?

As to workarounds, most folks now export PDF and use Acrobat to impose and print.

Export to PDF is under the File Menu in InDesign. It's an alternative to printing.

I'm pretty rusty on installing printers and drivers on Mac, so I don't think I can help with that.
