Using Same OTF font between Windows and Mac

I'm on a PC and my wife is on a Mac. We both are running InDesign 17.3. We have downloaded and are using the same OTF font (Univers LT Pro). The problem is when she typesets something in that font, and then I open the document, InDesign doesn't recognize the font. It says it's not installed and I have to do a Replace Font to change it. But the kicker is that it's the SAME font and the SAME font file we are BOTH using. Am I missing something or is there a setting I can use to fix that?

We are using two different font managers. I'm using Suitcase Fusion (PC) and my wife is using (FontXplorer X Pro). Could that have anything to do with it?

Ultimately nothing is ruined in our workflow, it just slows it up a bit.

Thanks in advance

I'd agree with Bob. You may "think" you have the same font installed but InDesign obviously thinks otherwise. Create a Document Fonts folder that lives in the same folder as your InDesign file that contains the fonts you're trying to use and see if that yields different results. You can also choose Type > Find/Replace Font and click on the More Info button. Now click on the font in question and evaluate the name as well as the version number of the font on both computers to ensure that you are in fact using the same (or different) fonts.

When you installed on your PC did you install it for all users? Have you tried copying it to the InDesign \ Fonts folder or a Document fonts folder in the same folder containing the InDesign file?
