Hi everyone,

Is possible to create a variable text with the title at the beginning of a page, but without showing the numbering of this title?

I mean if the title is "1.2 General data" i dont want to show that number only the "General data".

Thank you in advance,

Marta

If you use a numbered list for your title style, the variable will not show any number.

If you have not used a numbered list, apply a character style (with nothing in it) to the title without the number and use a Running Header using Character Style.

@jmlevy is correct. The fact that ID doesn't pick up the auto number in the header is actually a problem for many documents. In the OP's case, it's a feature!
