View background tasks?

I'm trying to save a file as a PDF. When I then go to close the document, I'm getting a message telling me to wait until the PDF file process is complete and to watch for it in the Background Task window. In previous versions of InDesign, a window would open automatically when I made my PDF files. There is no window opening in CS5. Any way to view this process whiel it's working?

If you want the expotr to still happen in the background and just want notice, see my script, exportPop.jsx, from this thread: Re: ANN: automatic dialog after background export (exportPop.jsx)

.

It makes the Background Tasks window visible, and also gives you a dialog when the export is complete.
