If you have content which has multiple uses in the same or in other documents you can collect it, also several in a raw. Then you find it in the convoyer panel and you can drop the collected contens onnce or multiple times on other places in the same or in other documents. You can link other instances to the first original content. If those are linked, changes in the first original item are reflected in all linked instances. You might click in link panel to update the instances. Changes must be done in the original object.

Does it work similarly to master pages?

Anywher, but objects from the parent/mast appear on the applied pages anyway without the collector tools.

That documentation is woefully inadequate, to be kind.

There's no instruction on how to remove stuff from the "conveyor." Nor any explanation of what all of that stuff is on the conveyor, why you clicking on the thumbnails there does nothing, or what the numeral badges mean.

And there are even bad links on the page. The use the links panel one is a 404.

Pathetic.
