I am puzzled by this:

what is this symbol? How can i replace it with a .png picture I have and want to be instead of this?

Looks like a dingbat font or perhaps some other symbol font.

Hey, the thing is that I can not mark it to replace it. Like I can't highlight it. And I'd like to import some custom symbol insted of that. How am I to go about that?

Just to be clear…we’re referring to editing the InDesign document, right? And then exporting to EPUB?
