When using my selection tool to click and drag a marquee around an object, the screen goes white

When using my selection tool to click and drag a marquee around an object, the screen goes white and the cursor becomes larger. I can not see what I am dragging a marquee around to select. I have attached a zoomed in video screen shot of what I am experiencing. Thank you.

I agree with @Mike Witherell : Those are the symptoms of using InDesign 2024 with macOS Sonoma. The current version of Sonoma 14.2.1 has not yet been updated by Apple so that it works for all people in InDesign 2024. (But others like myself don't encounter this problem.)

 

His two suggested workaround usually work. 

 

Let us know Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. Please tell us (exactly) what InDesign version you're using.

It is finaly resolved in the coming Sonoma 14.3, will be released coming week

It might be a macOS Sonoma bug. Did you try...?

Turning off or on the GPU acceleration?

These work-arounds work for some; but not for others.
