When will ID support custom paths for “Scripts, Grep, Shortcuts, PDF Export Presets”?

Question

I'd like to reinstall ID and just import the fixed settings file and get to work, what a relief!

Does the preferences file now contain these settings?

Perhaps the preferences should include these settings.
Also, now the script folder “Samples” under the folder shortcuts are supported, if the Grep also support it, so that each time you modify can be placed on the D disk, not worried about losing.

This question and answer are similar to your other post this morning.

Get to know File > User Settings > Import/Export User Settings

and another feature that is similar:

Edit > Migrate Previous Local Settings

That should cover everything except the PDF Export Presets, which live outside of InDesign:

These built-in presets for generating PDFs are also known as joboptions, and are named with
the .joboptions file name extension. These are not destroyed when you reset preferences.
They are not changed nor lost when you upgrade or patch InDesign. The pre-installed
joboptions and your new custom presets/joboptions are stored here:
[macOS] Mac/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
[Win 10/11] Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings and also
here ProgramData\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings
