White frame when exporting to PDF, background color lost

Hi everyone,

I have set a background color for business cards and dragged the color over the edge of my document. When I export the business card to PDF including cutting marks, a white frame appears and the cutting marks are on that white frame.

How can this be changed so that the blue color goes under the cutting marks? As said, the color is well over the border of the document.

Many thanks!

This is exactly as it should be. The crop marks show the edges of the document trim, and your background color bleeds over the edges. Your PDF is larger than your InDesign document, to allow room for crop marks outside the trim.

Change the offset for the crop marks to a number larger than the bleed. For instance, for .125" bleed change the offset to .15.
