Question

Why doesn't InDesign remember where I've saved my file?

If I'm working in a document and want to do a Save As, it will never take me back to the folder in which the original document came from which can be annoying.

I went through the Preferences and couldn't find a way to change this behaviour. Is there an option in Windows to change this behaviour application-wide?

Did you move the file after you saved it?

Are these files that were last saved with an earlier version of InDesign?

Hmmm, unsure but possibly. Has this issue occurred before with this earlier version anomaly?

Hmmm...cant reproduce it here. Mine sticks to the original folder the way you'd want. Have you tried resetting preferences?
