Why I can't export a PDF with transparent images like watermarks

For some reason, when exporting in indesign it does not show me the image that I put as a watermark in the pdf document, but if I export it as single images in jpg if it shows them, I do not know what I'm doing wrong, could someone advise me something?

The thing about Preview is it isn't really a PDF viewer at all. It just uses Mac OS's built in PDF Rendering, as also used by Safari, Mail, and countless other apps. It doesn't really have a version, the important thing is the Mac OS version. It's sort of a barometer of the overall PDF viewing quality in that version of Mac OS.

I am opening the pdf with mac viewer and it is strange but in the mini capture it shows the watermark but then in the page display it just does not appear, so opening with adobe acrobat if it appears, why does this happen?

Dont'use MacViewer to view a PDF, use the Acrobat Reader to get an accurate view.

You can export single pages to single JPG (or other image format) if that works and then combine the JPG to a multipage PDF… would also make the text an image which prevents copying, However it is still possible to use optical character recognition to recreate the text.

I already did but that PDF X4 setting does not let me assign a password to restrict the selection and copy of text to protect my document, is there any other way?

Where are you testing this PDF?

And just an FYI, there is, sadly, really no such thing as a secure PDF. If you really don't want anyone to copy the text, then don't send them the PDF.

Can you show a screen shot of your art as well as the General Section of your Export Adobe PDF dialog window?
