Why InDesign adds a white background to a PSD file

Question

I placed a PSD file with transparent background into InDesign, and it adds white background to it. I checked the fill on the frame, but it set to none.

I worked on the file two weeks ago and it worked fine. I tried placing another PSD file in a new ID file, but it also fails.

When I click "view > overprint preview" or export the file to PDF it looks alright.

I use latest InDesign CC, Photoshop CS6 and Windows 10.

Hi ​@jaceka21994775, Your capture is not showing the Selection and Direct Selection tools at the top of the tools panel. Double check your selection—you could have the frame holding the .PSD image set to Paper.Deselect everything and use the (Black) Selection Tool—make sure you are selecting the container frame, and its Fill is set to [None]:Every placed image consists of the image and its container. If you have the image selected the swatches will show [None] selected, but all the swatches will be grayed out. If you have the frame selected the fill color can be set to anything including [None]:
