Can anyone tell me why my image looks like (attached) a messed up TV screen when I placed it in? I am sure it is something simple.. I am a new InDesign user. Please and thank you!

Hi @defaultausyvs9unfub:

Try disabling GPU Performance (if a Mac) and set the scaling back to small (Mac or Win). Does either one help?

  1. Preferences > GPU Performance > uncheck GPU Performance
  2. Preferences > User Interface Scaling > Small

Hi thank you for responding! I have a new MAC..

Am I looking for User Interface scaling inside InDesign or system?

What is the original image type (JPG, etc.)?

How are you placing it in the document: by drag and drop or using Place?
