Why is InDesign doing this?

Why is this happening? It should just be a white box with a black stroke, and text (I've done the blurring on my end, as it's for a confidential client).

I've tried exporting the whole file as .idml and reopening it with no luck.

This is from a CS5 template that I've used for years for the same client. This is the first time I've used it in CC, if that makes a difference? It's doing it on all pages, with all different kinds of text and graphic boxes. This is just an example.

Thanks in advance, oh InDesign geniuses.
