why my margins and text frame borders are hidden?

Hello everyone. My margin guides have disappeared. Also, all text frame borders are hidden by default — they only show up when I click on them. They used to be visible all the time by default, though. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hi! This is usually the screen mode: Preview hides guides and frame edges, while Normal shows them. Press W to switch back to Normal, or go to View > Screen Mode > Normal. If they are still hidden in Normal mode, check View > Grids & Guides > Show Guides for the margin guides, and View > Extras > Show Frame Edges for the frame edges.
