Wie blende ich die Application Bar ein? / How do I display the application bar?

How can I display the application bar in InDesign on a Mac? I’ve seen various screenshots where I can use the options at the top to place files side by side, for example.

I mean the bar right at the top, next to the Home icon.

I believe those options were removed  in 2020. (Don’t know why...)

You can use the Window>Arrange menu. You can set a keyboard command to one of the options.

The zoom can be adjusted at the lower-left corner, but I prefer the keyboard shortcuts.

Rulers are Cntl/Cmd-r and should stay on all the time.

Those options were removed a few versions ago, I liked them as well but some of those options moved to the Toolbar on the left side for some reason…

    Hi Frans

Thank you for your reply. We do not have to understand Adobe :-(

I never used this function in the last years and saw it on a video/screenshot and would like to use it. But then i have to go via Windows/Arrange.

Hi @Michael23924971vf5e , Are you referring to the Window>Application Frame setting, which I believe is a Mac only feature. It docs the open files together with the top application bar:

    Hi Rob

    Thanx also for your feedback.

But it’s more the option to arrange the files directly next to the other. Like via the windows/arrange-function.

Ah, like a ‘split screen’ to view or compare next to each other, yes that one is now in the Window Arrange menu, I miss those icons as well…

    Hi Dave
Thanx for your reply. What a mess. I know the solution with the Window/Arrange. But I saw the “old” solution in a video/screenshot. And it looked really cool.
