Hey guys, I have a lot pdf need to place into InDesign and add some stuffs then combine into a print ready pdf and also a ebook too. These pdf going to be placed has images and vectors.

I want the final ebook file to have RGB black for the vector and original sRGB color for the images; 100% k black for the small vectors and CMYK color for the images.

What should I do to make sure everything is correct? I created the the document under the recent tab and it appear to chose the print automatically becuase the black swatch is 100% k black.

Should I just duplicate this InDesign file and then change the color mode to RGB(how?) and then use this duplicated file for the ebook version?

Or or when I export the pdf in other program(Affinity Designer), I should export one as RGB and one as CMYK first? That file is setup as RGB as well and all vectors there are RGB black too.

Or when completed everything just export as CMYK in InDesign? But all the vectors will be rich black right becuase they are RGB black originally?

Or is there some better way I don’t know?

Couple of details come to mind:

Starting with Photoshop's Edit > Color Settings, set your RGB to sRGB and then use Bridge Edit > Color Settings to push this synchronized color setting out to InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat.

Next, in InDesign, choose Edit > Transparency Blend Space as RGB.

Finally, in InDesign Preferences > Appearance of Black > make sure you have Output All Blacks as Rich Black.

That sets you up to have an exported RGB PDF that should have sRGB 100% blacks in the black objects.
