Will Indesign CS5 work with Windows 10?

I am planning to upgrade my computer to Windows 10 as support for Windows 7 ends in January 2020. I would like to make sure if Indesign CS5 is compatible with Windows 10.

You can try it but I wouldn't count on it installing or working properly. Make sure you have full admin rights and run the installer and the application under Win 7 compatibility mode. Be prepared to be disappointed.

Please bear in mind that Windows 10 is a constantly changing system. Microsoft decided the easiest way to get a system they could keep changing, and everyone used, was to keep the same name "Windows 10" and change it anyway, continually, and without any opt out. We're already on Windows 12 by any honest count.  So, at any time, software that works, especially old software, may stop. All versions of Photoshop stopped working afer a Windows 10 update, and by great good luck there was a registry fix. The only way to get support is to be up to date with a subscription.

It will. And CS4 and CS6 too, AFAIK. But Win10 is not oficially supported.

Remember, never say you can't do something in InDesign, it's always just a question of finding the right workaround to get the job done. © David Blatner
