will not perceive PNG documents, can't "Spot"

I made a record about a month prior, an index, and put PNG picture documents into picture boxes for the design. I opened the record back up today to do some alters and all the abrupt InDesign lets me know I have broken joins. I examine further to observe that the pictures are found where they are assumed. I attempted to "re-place" the png documents into the crates however InDesign doesn't remember it and will not permit me to put it.

For reference, I likewise attempted to open in PS yet it doesn't remember it either, so I'm certain it's a record issue.
