[win, v18.0] font problem: "Open Sans – Semibold" vs. "Open Sans Semibold – Semibold"?

Hi,

during the work in a simple ID document with our "house font" OpenSans, suddenly I have two combinations of font (-styles):

The result seems to be is identical, no visual differences. But I can't choose the second one, which I had never before – (because) there is no font named "Open Sand Semibold"!

Just another bug in Indesign?

Thanks!

PS: there is no font "Open Sans Semibold" in the document:

Correct answer mycc

I saved it as IDML and it was fixed.

Not the best advertising for ID 2023 😞

Thanks and bye.

Are you certain there is only one instance of the Open Sans font on your system?

How are you managing your fonts?

This font problem is a completely new phenomenon in ID 18

And no,  I have only one instance installed. No changes in the last months.

Font management: mostly manual, no font manager.

And because ID 18 freezes by opening a very simple one-page-document (it's a disaster!), I'll try it with the previous version, I'm just installing 17.4.

I will report!
